Intro to the mixtape

Why aren't you listening to Dj Quik? Compton G-Funk, perfect for house/block parties, barbecues, the definition of smooth. 'You need to put some lotion on, because your skin is peelin' around the bullet wounds on your back, you're fat, plus you're abortion prone.' Here, and here. For those white college boys who don't know what a mixtape is, you want to get on it, because it's free and you can get studio quality music artists use to promote themselves and you might discover some new guys. The form of the mixtape in itself different from the commercial record, in that there seems to be more of an open source kinda feel with instrumentals; example: every rapper has rapped over the 'a million' instrumentals and it don't seem like there's anyone bitching about copyright. Game's been puttin' out studio quality shit all year, if you haven't gotten to Brake Lights f. Dj Skee and the two disc Purp & Patron, and the Hangover, you way behind. Shit'll have you sayin' 'we only droppin' classics' in no time.
